Vince Flynn, one of my favorite authors, passed away this morning, at the age of 47, due to prostate cancer.
Vince Flynn is a born and raised Minnesota author with 14 published books, most landing on the NYT Bestseller list. One of his books, American Assassin, is being made into a movie.
An interesting tidbit of information for all writers is that he self-published his first book, Term Limits, which was later picked up by a publisher. Flynn started writing to overcome dyslexia. This seems to be a common thread among writers.
I love reading the political thrillers he wrote. In fact, I was just going to re-read his series from the beginning. My family pass his books back and forth because they are so good. I encourage everyone to read at least one of his books. However, once you read one you won’t be able to stop until you’ve read them all.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Vince Flynn’s family and friends. The world lost an amazing author this morning.
