  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

Share the title & author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I’m almost speechless; I don’t know where to start describing Orphan Train. You can tell the author did their homework by researching the facts surrounding the orphan trains that came into the Midwest in the 1930’s. She tackles a part of history very few people know anything about and did it extremely well. The characters are well-developed and believable.

This quote is from Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline:

“…Vivian has come back to the idea that the people who matter in our lives stay with us, haunting our most ordinary moments. They’re with us in the grocery store, as we turn a corner, chat with a friend. They rise up through the pavement; we absorb them through our soles.”

Happy Reading!
